Lech Poznań signed Luis Palma from Celtic Glasgow for 4 million euros. The 26-year-old will play for the club until June 30, 2029. Luis Palma joined Lech Poznań in July 2025, when the club loaned the Honduran player from Celtic Glasgow. At the time, the Polish champions were looking for an opportunity on the transfer market and chose Palma, who had not had a successful period. The 26-year-old has proven himself in Lech Poznań, playing 47 out of 54 possible matches last season, scoring 12 goals (10 in the league) and providing 8 assists (6 in Ekstraklasa). In recent times, Luis Palma has often played as a number 10 and will mainly play in that position in the upcoming 2026/2027 season. Lech Poznań activated the clause today without any negotiations. Luis Palma, currently in Texas for the Honduras national team camp, cost our club the same 4 million euros, which is of course a record transfer fee in the history of the Kolejorz. Celtic Glasgow did not agree to any negotiations, including a reduction in the price. The time for activating the clause has expired, Lech Poznań had time to buy Palma until June 8, but decided to do so on June 3. The individual contract with Luis Palma was already established, today it came into effect, and from now on it is valid until June 30, 2029. Luis Palma will return to Poland a bit later, currently he is in the USA, where on June 7 Honduras will play a friendly match against Argentina. The Polish champions will return to training on Monday, June 22.
