Lech Poznań will not block away fans from attending the October match against Wisła Kraków at Stadion Poznań. The club's clear stance contrasts with that of Legia Warsaw, which plans to deny entry to visiting supporters for its match on October 11.
Kolejorz president Piotr Rutkowski outlined his position during a meeting with season ticket holders. “It is small and unbecoming of such a club,” Rutkowski said of the practice of banning away fans. He added that Lech prefers exchanging sporting courtesies in the stands. “Wisła fans will enter normally,” the president assured.
The position of Poznań city authorities and the stadium operator aligns with Rutkowski's declaration. There are currently no obstacles preventing away fans from occupying their designated sector. The Polish Football Association confirmed the away sector meets all necessary requirements. In contrast, Legia Warsaw decided to close its away sector, citing renovation works and legal doubts, although city authorities stressed the police did not issue such a recommendation.
Lech Poznań, currently 3rd in the Ekstraklasa with 19 points, is focused on its on-field performance. The team's recent form includes a 2:2 draw with Energie Cottbus, and they are now preparing for their next fixture, an away match against Śląsk Wrocław this Saturday.
The match against Wisła Kraków is scheduled for October 31. The White Star has collected 17 points from its first nine matches.
