Lech Poznan forward Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is expected to be sidelined for around four weeks with a hamstring injury. The injury to his biceps femoris muscle occurred during a recent training session.

Head coach Niels Frederiksen confirmed the setback following a 2-2 friendly draw against Energie Cottbus. “Allahyar’s situation is serious. He is out because of a hamstring injury.” Frederiksen said.

The absence means Sayyadmanesh will miss Lech's next nine matches. These include three UEFA Europa League fixtures against Bayer Leverkusen, Sunderland, and Benfica, plus five Ekstraklasa games against Slask Wroclaw, Korona Kielce, Legia Warsaw, Wisla Krakow, and Zaglebie Lubin. He will also sit out a Polish Cup tie against Siarka Tarnobrzeg.

The Iranian is currently Lech's top scorer this season with five goals in eight appearances. His goal minute average of 63 minutes per goal shows his efficiency. Sayyadmanesh's absence poses a significant challenge for a team that, in its last five league matches, has recorded three wins and two draws, taking 11 points. This strong recent form has helped Lech sit third in the Ekstraklasa table with 19 points. Lech's next match is away to Slask Wroclaw on October 10.

Sayyadmanesh joined Lech this summer after a spell in Belgium. The injury has also ruled him out of international duty with Iraq. His return is targeted for the end of October.
