Lech Poznań return to league duties on Saturday 10 October with a match against Śląsk Wrocław. The 10th round Ekstraklasa fixture at Tarczyński Arena kicks off at 17:30.
The Polish champions face a tough task after a three-week break for international duty. Since 2010, Lech have won away at Śląsk only twice, both times by a 1-0 scoreline. The Poznań side currently sit third in the table with 19 points from eight games, three points behind leaders Górnik Zabrze. In their last match, Lech drew 2-2 with Energie Cottbus, having previously beaten Radomiak Radom 5-1.
Their opponents, Śląsk Wrocław, returned to the top flight after a one-year absence and have just six points from nine matches, placing them 15th. The Wrocław team have not won a league game since 2 August, on a run of seven matches without victory. Their top scorer is Piotr Samiec-Talar with four goals, but his participation on Saturday is uncertain following an injury.
The match between Śląsk Wrocław and Lech Poznań will take place on Saturday, 10 October, at 17:30. The traditional live report from the venue will start at 16:10.
For Lech Poznań, this is a key match in the context of staying at the top of the table.
