Lech Poznań demolished Śląsk Wrocław 4-1 away from home, solidifying their hold on second place in the Ekstraklasa table. The match was officiated by Patryk Gryckiewicz in front of 33,863 spectators.

The first half was evenly contested, but Lech broke the deadlock in the 31st minute. Filip Jagiełło finished off a good move to make it 1-0. Lech goalkeeper Mateusz Lis was called into action to deny Matsenko after a pass from the home captain, Piotr Samiec-Talar.

After the break, Lech took complete control. Pablo Rodriguez made it 2-0 in the 50th minute. Śląsk coach Ante Simundza made several substitutions, bringing on Ciućka and Dembele, but it did little to stem the tide. Patrik Walemark scored two quick goals in the 71st and 73rd minutes to extend the lead to 4-0. A consolation goal from Grzegorz Tomasiewicz in the 90th minute was all Śląsk could manage.

The victory is Lech Poznań's seventh win in nine matches this autumn, giving them 22 points. Only Gornik Zabrze are above them, leading by three points. The team's next test is a home fixture against Korona Kielce on Saturday. The club is also coping without the injured Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, their top scorer this season with five goals. The current squad list shows who might step in to fill the attacking void.
