Lech Poznań's Europa League matches will be available to all viewers on free-to-air television. Polsat, the rights holder, confirmed this decision in line with the law on events of major importance to society.
Previously, TV schedules had raised concerns about whether the Polish teams' games would be broadcast on open channels. According to Polish law, competitions of the stature of the UEFA Cup, under which historic name they are listed in the statute, should be shown in a universally accessible manner. Uncertainty grew as the first matches were scheduled for the paid channels Polsat Sport 1 and Polsat Sport Premium 1.
Broadcaster's decision
The broadcaster cleared all doubts by informing about the transmission details. Lech Poznań's Europa League opener, scheduled for Thursday, 17 September at 21:00 against Crystal Palace, can be watched on channel TV6. This is a channel available in open, digital terrestrial transmission. The broadcast will run simultaneously on Polsat's paid sports channels.
A similar rule applies to the other Polish team in the competition. The match of Jagiellonia Białystok against Olympiacos, scheduled for Wednesday, 16 September, will be broadcast on Super Polsat. This decision guarantees that all fixtures of Polish representatives in this edition of the Europa League will be accessible without additional fees.

For Lech Poznań, the return to the Europa League is an important step after appearances in the Europa Conference League.
